About Me

Welcome!  I am so glad you are here!

After 23 years working in health care, my approach has evolved into a style that is intuitive, compassionate and informed by both traditional healing arts and modern scientific research. At the beginning of an appointment you can expect thorough questions surrounding your chief complaints. During the treatment, I utilize gentle and diverse treatment methods that may include acupuncture and an array of other techniques including mindfulness coaching, herbal medicine, massage, cupping and gua sha.  Post-treatment, I may ask for your dedication, as well as my own, to help you to achieve your wellness goals.

I began my career as a massage therapist and doula in 1999. My career in massage included ten years of private practice, attending childbirths as a doula/birth coach and three years serving as an instructor of massage and anatomy/physiology at the National Holistic Institute in Emeryville, California. In 2006, I began my studies of Traditional Chinese Medicine to deepen my knowledge of holistic healing, and in 2009 I received a Masters of Science in East Asian Medicine from the Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, California. Following this, I continued my training in 2010, completing a three-month internship specializing in Women’s Health and traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine in China through Zheng Jiang University in Hong Zhou. Most recently, I have completed advanced training with the Acupuncture and TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine (ABORM), which is an organization establishing best practices for acupuncture and East Asian reproductive medicine.

Every year I continue to expand my knowledge through continued participation in workshops, apprentice programs and specialized education opportunities with leading acupuncturists. I love my career and feel privileged to support people in their healing journeys.

When I am not at work I enjoy dancing, yoga and meditation, long immersions in nature, growing food and flowers in my garden, attempting complicated sourdough recipes, and most of all, playing with my young daughter.
